Green with envy over this green commuter? I’ll let Tyler explain:
I had my bike custom built by my cousin, Sam Densmore, of Cycles Densmore out of Cape Cod. I chose the color scheme and all of the features to fit me, my aesthetic, and my daily needs of a cycle. Then I was left with the hard task of finding accessories that complemented the utter BEAUTY of the bike he created. I found the Ortlieb [Back Roller Classic] Panniers and immediately knew they were not only a good functional fit for what I needed for my daily commute, but that they would match the spirit and the look of the bike perfectly.
Tyler’s bike is also outfitted with equally “flashy” Planet Bike, blue silicone Knog Beetle, and green SpokeLit lights. Better be toting a state-of-the-art theft-proof bike lock in that awesome pannier, Tyler!
Weehoo iGo Trailer-Cycles are now 15% off thru July 31st at Bike Kid Shop! Want to learn more about Weehoo? President Stephen Rodgers took some time to answer a few questions for us in order to paint a more well-rounded picture of Weehoo, its leaders, and its values.
BSH: When was your company founded?
SR: August 2008
BSH: From your “About” page, I gather that your product was inspired by your twins, and wanting to experience the Colorado landscape together. How did your custom product design turn into a company with a global presence?
SR: The product is contagious. The Weehoo iGo removes the limitations that other trailers impose on parents and children. The Weehoo iGo is liberating. The adventures truly begin again with the iGo.
Dan kicked off his summer with a 6-week bike tour on Kauai – cycling from one end of the island to the other.
I had everything I needed on my Ibex trailer (boogie board, fins, tent, sleeping bag, sleeping pad…etc.) and it performed great over everything and everywhere I went. I got compliments on it all the time, usually “Nice rig!”
What are your summer plans? If they involve an awesome cycling adventure like Dan’s, BOB trailers are now 10% off. For a more convenient way to haul your kayak or canoe by bike, check out the Paddleboy Go Cart. And don’t forget the SPF!

Alex sent in this photo of his DIY solution to child transport in an attempt to make something like the FollowMe Tandem. Sort of like an Adams Trail-A-Bike, sort of like a Burley Trailer-Cycle, and according to Alex: “More or less successful.” Let’s hope “more” for the kid’s sake! Also quite the creative use of a car’s headrest as a backrest, if I’m seeing correctly.
A growing mobile food business calls for a full grown mobile kitchen.
The top has a metal surface to prepare food from and is held to the flatbed of the trailer with 8 pins. In just minutes it comes apart for use as a flatbed.
I also have made a tall bike with barbecue grill, a tandem grill bike, side by sides, any number of tall bikes and long bikes, a pedicab and stunt bikes.
The Eugene, Oregon food-bike-trailer entrepreneur is also working on a popcorn and lemonade trailer to debut this winter. If building a bicycle powered business isn’t your thing, try advertising by bike to attract customers instead!
