Product Tested: Lizard Skins Logo Lock-On Grips

Cost: $24.99

Colors: They only come in black

My background: I am 5″9″ 185 lbs. I am a bicycle commuter that travels 8 miles round trip and I am also a typica. weekend warrior mountain biker.

Testing Grounds: Backwoods of New Cumberland, Stony Creek Trail, and the streets of Harrisburg PA.

Advertised as: Our lock-on grips are manufactured here in the USA by ODI. Their patented design restricts unwanted movement, maximizing the rider’s control and comfort. All Lizard Skins lock-on grips are compatible with ODI clamps. Available in black only. Comes in a bonus pack, which includes grips and clamps. This is our most popular lock-on grip.

First Impressions and Comments: I have the Logo Lock-On grips installed on the Fezzari Abajo Peak Pro. I was really impressed on how these grips looked. The black grip and chrome clamps are an awesome combination. They made the bike look more aggressive but stylish at the same time. I was surprised on how comfortable they were. These grips practically grab a hold of your hands. I could ride for hours and my hands and arms wouldn’t get as tired because I’m not excessively grasping the handle bars. And the best part is they don’t twist around like those other name brand grips. I would definitely recommend the Lizard Skins Logo Lock-On Grips to any one who are looking into upgrading their grips.

  • Lizard Skins Logo Lock-On Grips looks great
  • Very comfortable
  • Does not twist or move around while you’re riding
  • Affordable
  • Light weight

Weaknesses: During our testing period, I did not experience any issues or weaknesse. with the Lizard Skin. Logo Lock-On Grips.

I’ve seen the ODI grips before and I’ve always wondered how well they’d work with bar-ends – are they no go, or is there a way to get bar-ends on without putting them on top of the grips?

  2. RL Policar says:

    Hi Steve,

ODI grips will work with bar ends. Most bar ends clamp on the end of the bars, all you would have to do is scoot everything further in such as the grips brakes/shifters to make room for the ends. It would work best if you had a handle bar that is at least 25″ wide.
