I absolutely love the most recent My NYC Biking Story from Streetfilms about Jen Petersen. Jen wrote a PhD dissertation in Sociology about the infrastructure changes occurring on NYC streets from a social and economic perspective, and she wrote it largely from experiences riding her bike. Having just written my own PhD dissertation proposal in Geography, I’m definitely bummed I didn’t think to do my research while riding a bike! Perhaps I should change that… Anyhow, Jen now provides consulting services, as well as helps to deliver goods by bike on a freight bike for The City Bakery.
