I see you have an off road Vaude bag. How does it compare to the Detours one, I know you do not sell it, but it looks very similar. Any thoughts on how they compare?

BikeShopHub.com Answer:

As we are not that familiar with Detour bags, I can only offer some impressions based on how the Vaude Seatpost Mounted Bags look compared to the Detours Seatpost mounted bags

Off-the-bat, it looks like they both utilize KlickFix mounting hardware.  My general impression is that the Vaude has a little bit of a sleeker looking design, which seems appropriate given that these bags are designed to be used for minimal amounts of gear.

I live in Brazil and often I ride my bike in single tracks and unpaved roads. Generally I make my trips using a backpack. On June/2012 I will make a trip with my bike on unpaved roads during 6 days, approximately 350Km ( 220 miles).
I am looking for a bike trunk bag and I am interested on the model  Vaude Offroad Trunk Bag Medium.
However, I need to confess that, seeing the picture on the web site, it seems fragile (to support vibration) and I am almost sure that it will break in the beginning of the journey. I did not find anything that assure me the trunk bag mentioned above is really dependable.
It is important to mention that my bicycle is a Specialized Stumpjumper FSR Elite – full suspension.
Could you please inform if the Vaude Offroad Trunk Bag Medium:

1- Is  really prepared / qualified to support single tracks and unpaved roads considering a "pay load" of 4 kilos ( 9 pounds )? Have you tested it? What is your feedback from your costumers?
2- If I buy via internet using my international credit card, can you delivery it to Brazil?
3- Could you please send me pictures about the trunk bag mentioned above, specially where the  trunk bag attach with the seat post tube?

1. This bag is rugged enough for off-road riding with 9 lbs. which is a relatively small load.  We have not tested it ourselves however our customers have all been happy with its performance as far as I know.  Have a look at this customer's photos of the Vaude Offroad Trunk Bag.

2. We can ship to Brazil.  Add the item to the cart for a shipping quote.

3. See Acep's photos.
