In comparing a BOB Yak to a Burley Travoy, the most important difference is that you are comparing a single-wheel trailer to a two-wheel trailer, two very different beasts. 

Single wheeled trailers are all about versatility in terrain.  They can go pretty much anywhere your mountain bike can go. 

Two-wheelers are all about versatility in use.  The Burley Travoy is very handy in a multiplicity of uses.  It is a hand cart of the bike, folds up extremely compactly and has a broad range of carrying methods with all of the bags available or by just strapping things on board.

As far as the Yakima Big Tow goes, we've heard that it was decently made.  Yakima no longer supports the product, but BOB trailer parts can be retrofitted to work with it.  We're in the business of selling new bike trailers, so we're not to aware of pricing for used market for discontinued trailers.
