My wife and I recently found a great new light that we use regularly on our trailers. It is called the FlashBak Personal Safety Light. It is great! Unlike many other rear lights we have used in the past, it cannot fall off. It uses 4 alligator clips to hold on, so even if one or two do come off, there are still two others there to make sure the light stays where you put it. We have learned to keep checking each other back, to ensure the lights are still attached, and operating properly. Safety First! The FlashBak has a lighted remote switch, so a quick glance from the riding position, lets us know that the FlashBak is still running. This is a very cool and innovative idea for a safety lights. We love ours!

Lights are very important and necessary for those of us that cycle at night. Another thing that can help one be seen at night is the use of SOLAS tape. I have my BOB trailer trimmed in it and I have a spiral of it running up my trailer flag. I put more on both sides of the triangular top of the flag. I use it on my bike frames, as well. When car headlights hit my bike and or trailer, I look like an alien spacecraft and the batteries never wear out.
