Overview

Enhance the versatility of your B.O.B.

The longer 28 version of the Ibex fork is no longer available in the US.

Upgrade or extend the use of your BOB Ibex trailer with a replacement fork. These forks include BOB’s Pin and Lanyard attachment system, pin storage hooks to keep the pins secure when the trailer is off the bike, and a Fork Through Bolt. The fork does not include a quick release, so make sure you have the appropriate size QR to effectively convert your trailer.

Choose the standard fork for use with standard mountain bikes and road bikes.

Fitting Notes:

The longer 28 fork measures 16.75″ from the center of the axle to the back of the fork.

The shorter 26 fork measures 14.125″ from the center of the axle to the back of the fork.

To determine which fork size will fit your bike, measure from the center of the axle to outer circumference of the tire.  If this measurement is smaller then the above fork measurement the wheel/tire should fit.  Generally it is a good idea to have at least 1″ of clearance.  If the clearance is very close, the profile and knobs of the tire might hit.

Additionally BOB Trailers can be made to work with some Fat Bikes, though the bending of the fork to make this happen will void the warranty.  This article explains how it can be done.

The improved and up-to-date 26″ and 28″ trailer forks can be modified for installation on older versions of the BOB trailer by simply drilling out the holes in the fork tabs with a 1/4″ drill bit.

BOB never falters in strength and versatility, keep on ridin’!

Bob trailer fork

Hello everyone, We all know about the bob trailer. The quality and reliability are hallmarks of the bob trailer design. The bob trailer fork is very durable and the way it attaches to your bicycle is very smart and easy, but also very secure using the attached pin. It's nice to have an extra one for an additional bicycle. I am very happy with with the bob trailer. I've experienced some of the finest service I've ever had ordering through Campfire. The customer service is very polite, knowledgeable and very helpful. I ordered one day and received my delivery in just a couple of days. That's what I call service. Thank you Campfire.

Missing post/rivet

Bob trailer swing arm came with a missing post, or rivet that the rubber retention band that holds security mounting clip. Please forgive my ignorance as to what the proper nomenclature is

Tire clearance

This fits on a surly ECR with 29x3 tires. The standard bob fork doesn’t have enough clearance for 29+ tires, but this does.

Upgrade to bob bike trailer.

The new extended trailer fork only took seconds to install. It has been a good upgrade, that is reasonably priced.
