COLUMBIA, Mo. – University of Missouri-Columbia graduate Bob Haley was planning on spending part of his summer bicycling around Lake Superior.
Instead, he chose to ride with men he thinks of almost as his sons: wounded veterans of the war in Iraq.
“You hear people say all the time: ‘We support our troops. We support our troops,'” said Haley, 60, of Rome, N.Y. “Well, these are soldiers that need our support.”
