Reflective Bike

Shinny bikes

I was sitting here thinking, why haven’t some bicycle companies come out with a commuter bike that is painted with reflective paint? I know it may sound goofy, but man that would be pretty cool to be seen at night much like the painted lines that are on the street.

One idea I had was, well if you don’t like all the reflective stickers or tape that is out there, perhaps, painting your own bike in a clear reflective paint would do the trick. The clear paint sorta acts like a clear coat but with reflective properties.

If you’ve painted your bike in some sort of reflective paint, shoot me an EMAIL with a picture and I’ll gladly post it. In fact if you do a “how to” we can make it into an article.

It isn’t a commuter bike but Cannondale is putting reflective decals on some of their mountain bikes.
