Bailey Works Super Pro First Impressions

I’ve been using the Bailey Works Super Pro messenger bag for several weeks, and I can’t say enough good things about it. How’s this for brevity: life without this bag is no longer a viable option and I have decided to purchase one for myself.

When I finish my review of this bag, it will be my masterwork. I have used this bag to transport clothing, groceries, cameras, lighting equipment, beer, wine, liquor, a snare drum with stand, flatware, speakers, books, shoes, and on, and on, and on. This review will be a facemelter.

I love this bag.

Sounds pretty impressive. Did you have any problems carrying the bigger items such as the snare drums? I would imagine that it would be pretty difficult to move with such a load. Carrying beer, wine, and liquor on the other hand; I wouldn’t mind lugging those around myself.

  2. That’s awesome. I want to see pics with that snare drum and stand!!

A heavy load on your back does change the way you ride, but not in such a way that I would describe it as difficult. The snare and stand were very easy. They’re still sitting where I dropped them off, but I’ll pick them up again and take pictures for the review. The bag is designed to hug you tight regardless of the dimensions or weight of the contents of your bag. The other amazing thing about the bag, which I’ll demonstrate in the review, is that you can swap the strap back and forth, meaning if one shoulder starts to hurt, you can take off the bag, rotate the strap, and now the bag will sit on your other shoulder. If you’re carrying a lot of heavy loads, that’s a real blessing.

Another thing about this bag – the one we have to test is a size Medium. There are three sizes available larger than this one. It’s a 2 on a scale of 5.

I have used a number of bags for my commute, but haven’t found anything better than the Bailey Works. The split strap is a blessing when hauling larger loads. Instead of bringing the whole bag over your head, you can snap the buckle and let it drop. I have a tendency to ride with my bag high on the back. Most bags don’t give you the ability to change the height of the bag quickly, without removing it and changing the strap. On the Bailey, you either loosen the ring or pull the strap…Brilliant!!! I love my bag, I use it EVERYDAY!!!!

how would a medium be for a daily commute where i have to carry a change of clothes, shoes and an occasional book or random junk?
