Bare Knuckles

Just a reminder to everyone – cycling gloves aren’t just for padding and shock absorption, especially if you ride in a city. A patch of cobblestone on my ride home Friday night swerved me into a plywood construction wall on the edge of the sidewalk, taking the skin off of three knuckles on my left hand. Also tore through the sleeve of the shirt I was wearing. Should have worn my gloves…

    That looks nasty. I dont wear gloves when I ride, but I think I will start soon. What kind of gloves do you recomend?

    In hot weather, a pair of fingerless padded gloves with a light, breathable back are best. When it gets cold, I use full finger gloves with more armor around the fingers and knuckles, like Fox Digits.
