Bicycling in Indonesia

Think your city has bad traffic jams? I would guess that many cities don’t have traffic jams like those you’ll find in Jakarta, Indonesia. To that end, the city of Jakarta has started developing a huge Bike to Work community that exceeds 50,000 members. There is also a bi-monthly cyclovia to give cyclists a break from the traffic and encourage riding. Although there are safety concerns about riding in the crowded Jarkarta streets, there is still strong support for cycling that looks like it will continue to grow.
