League Seeks Bicycle Friendly America Local Reviewers

To assist in its review of Bicycle Friendly Businesses, Bicycle Friendly Communities and Bicycle Friendly Universities, the League of American Bicyclists is seeking knowledgeable cyclists for its local reviewer database.

Bicycle Friendly CommunityThe Bicycle Friendly America program, which includes categories ranging from small businesses to states and universities, recognizes the efforts of people and organizations dedicated to improving cycling and provides encouragement and resources for groups working to develop cycling programs and initiatives.

Applications submitted to the BFA program are reviewed not only by a panel of national bicycle experts but also by local bicyclists to obtain a balanced and inclusive perspective. League of American Bicyclists

The League estimates that each review takes about 30 to 60 minutes, and the local reviewer has approximately three weeks to complete the review.

To learn more about becoming a BFA program local reviewer, fill out the League’s survey or contact them at bfa@bikeleague.org.

I live in Phoenix, AZ and would love to be a local reviewer.

I live in same block as my office, but have committed to making all trips possible within 5 miles by bike. I ride a road bike, and Xtracycle and a mountain bike (for mountain and off road riding). My wife also commutes by bike on her 5 mile ride to work each day.

I tried to use your survey, but it keeps telling me that I have already taken it.

    Thank you for your time,

    AS Khalsa

    Hi AS,

The survey is through the League of American Bicyclists (not through Commute by Bike), so if you’re having trouble with the form, I’d suggest sending them an email at the address listed above.

    Good luck!
