Revelate Designs Ripio (S) review

Perfect fit on a custom a custom 51cm cross bike. The ability to split or unify the upper and lower sections is very helpful. The pump strap at the top of the bag is convenient. The initial setup of the numerous straps is initially time consuming, but is justified by the secure connection.

Revelate Designs Ripio Frame Bag

This bag is great!

I ride a 60cm Surly LHT. I was originally leaning to the smaller size as this is what is printed on the labels of all of my jackets. Thankfully Brian saved the day, he encouraged me to cut a cardboard template to place inside my bicycles frame, I am sure glad that I did!

The XL bag would have been too big. It may have been able to squeeze in to the triangle but it would not have fit correctly causing the zippers to be fussy and a potentially rubbing on my knees. Out of the box the large size was slightly undersized for the triangle but after re-tensioning the straps a few times the bag now perfectly fills the triangle and the best part is it can carry my entire kitchen, coffee/ tea, 2L of water and some space left over for some Brennivin!

W-atch out Iceland here I come!

Revelate Designs Ripio Frame Bag

This thing is awesome. Large sized Revelate Ripio frame bag fits perfectly on a 56cm 2014 Specialized TriCross. Fits my 13in MacBook pro (wish they made a version with a laptop sleeve) along with a giant U-lock/cable combo in the big pocket and I've got tools and sunglasses and chargers in the smaller pocket.

Also just bought a $10 shoulder strap on amazon to clip on so I can easily carry it off the bike.
