Description

Overview

Use the Tubus Mid-Fork Eyelets for mounting the Tubus Tara, Tubus Ergo, Tubus Nova, Jandd Low Front Rack, Jandd Extreme Front Rack or the Racktime Topit to forks without mid-fork eyelets (fork dropout eyelets are still required for Tubus and Jandd front racks).

Tubus mid-fork eyelets can also be utilized for any brand of front bicycle rack that requires a mid-fork mounting pointing. To determine what size you need, measure the circumference of your fork and divide by 3.14 (pi) to determine the diameter. This method works for ovalized forks as well.

Warranty

Tubus Racks come with a 10-YEAR WARRANTY.Tubus also offers a 3-year Mobile Guarantee. To qualify, send in the registration card that comes with your rack. Tubus will air-mail a replacement rack anywhere in the world if the rack breaks during normal use. This is great peace of mind for cycle tourists traveling to far-off corners of the world.

Tubus Mid-Fork Eyelets for Tara and Ergo

The clamps are well built, but a bit tricky to install. Finding the correct position took some thought as planning as I needed to test fit with the Racktime Topit Front Rack installed, but couldn't tighten them with the rack in place. I used the provided rubber strips, but electrical tape may have been less of a hassle. I had to bend my rack outward slightly, but that doesn't seem to be an issue. Also, the clamps only touch a portion of the sides of my oval fork, but with the rubber strips, the limited contact area doesn't seem to be a problem. With the Topit Front rack tightened, everything feels secure.
